Why I Started United Love

Are there enough T-shirts in the world? Definitely, probably too many. Another logo won’t change anything. Another brand won’t either. So why create one? Well, I’ve been asking myself that question for quite a while.
Apparently, my answer became United Love. So, is it actually about love? Obviously, the name says it all. Just probably not the kind of love most people imagine. Not really romance, not Valentine’s Day, not even the feeling you have at the beginning of a relationship. Something quieter and more universal at the same time.
I believe love is what connects life. Not only people — everything that is alive. A strange or naive way to look at the world? I’m fine with that.
At some point I noticed something. We wear ideas every single day. We just call them clothes: a football shirt, a band hoodie, a suit, a uniform. None of them are just fabric, they all say something. Even when we don’t.
So I stopped thinking about making T-shirts and started thinking about messages. The T-shirt simply became the place where those messages could live.
Every design starts the same way. Photoshop? Typography? A sketch? Not really. It actually starts with the question: is this actually worth saying? If the answer is no, it never gets printed.
I don’t expect a T-shirt to change someone’s life. That would be pretty arrogant, right? But maybe it can start a conversation. Or make someone smile. Or make someone stop for five seconds and think. Sometimes that’s enough.
That’s why I started United Love. Not because the world needed another clothing brand. Because I think it needs another conversation.
Love is the message.
